Above the Influence, a National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign is a program of the Office of National Drug Control Policy. The United States Congress created the National Youth Anti-Drug Media Campaign in 1998 to prevent and reduce youth drug use.

The Community Prevention Initiative (CPI) provides training and technical assistance supportive to California agencies and organizations involved in community-based prevention.

City of Thousand Oaks: Medicine and Needle (Sharps) Disposal

City of Thousand Oaks’ residents can now safely and confidentially dispose of expired or unwanted pharmaceuticals. A Medicine Collection Drop-Box is located at the City of Thousand Oaks’ Police Department and is available during normal business hours.

Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA)

Since 1992 Community Anti-Drug Coalitions of America (CADCA) has been training local grassroots groups, known as community anti-drug coalitions, in effective community problem-solving strategies, teaching them how to assess their local substance abuse-related problems and develop a comprehensive plan to address them. Today, CADCA is the nation’s leading drug abuse prevention organization, representing the interests of more than 5,000 community anti-drug coalitions in the country.

Community Prevention Initiative (CPI)

This Technical Assistance and Training project is intended to serve California agencies and organizations involved in community-based prevention.
